White Sands Monument

This sand makes the beaches "white sands" look like a joke! It is truly so bright, and powdery white. Without sunglasses you might be seeing stars for a while after leaving this place.
It is called the White Sands National Monument and it is located in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Keridan and I visited on our road trip. We just hiked around, but there were numerous people sledding down the hills on sleds.
There were also a few different families out taking family pictures. They must have bribed the kids to act right, because even I was getting ready to throw a temper tantrum due to the heat!
Once we left this pitstop we went on to Alamogordo to get checked into our room at the Marriot. Luckily there was an Italian food restaurant right next door to our hotel, so we walked over to Johnny Carrinos and got our speggheti fix!
If you are in this area, definitely stop to see the white sands and don't forget your sunglasses!

xoxo, braylea
