Dresses that Flow into Fall

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |

Today I have pieced together some dresses that are easy to transition in from Summer to Fall without feeling dull.

You might be surprised to know that Fall is my very least favorite season. That may be because where I'm from in Texas there never really was the season Fall. It was just hot or cold.  Or the weather would trick you and be cool in the morning and scalding hot by the time school let out at 3:00pm. Another reason I don't love it is because I don't love the brown, orange, tan color scheme that usually comes along with Fall. I have brighter taste as you've probably noticed and when Fall comes around all of the bright Summer colors get put away, which makes it hard for me to come up with something to wear. That comes back as soon as winter hits and I can wear a bright colored sweater, scarf, etc.

Okay, sorry I'll quit being a Debbie Downer because you, like most other people LOVE Fall. So to that, HAPPY (almost) FALL friends and a very Happy Labor Day!

 1. If you don't have a dress like this or similar, my question to you is why not? They are so comfortable and SO versatile. You could literally style this simple striped t-shirt dress a different way for a week straight or longer. Throw on a distressed denim jacket like the one here (obsessed) with some over the knee boots and a choker (if you're into that) for a night out. Put on converse and a cross body bag for a day of shopping with the girls or throw on a flannel shirt and some brown riding boots for transition into fall for a day at the pumpkin patch. Are you convinced yet? You NEED a basic t-shirt dress like this one, this one OR this one.

2. This dress is so gorgeous. The creases in the fabric would make wearing it so effortless looking and flattering on any body type. It has so much movement and doesn't cling to you. I'm also loving the 3/4 cold shoulder sleeve.

3. For my trendy girls- Have you tried this spaghetti strap dress over t-shirt/turtleneck trend yet? I haven't but am dying to. When it first started making its way back into the trendy category I was not giving into it but the more I see the dress on top of a shirt styled the more I'm starting to dig it. My favorite way this trend is styled is like this with a long sleeve turtle neck. Similar dress here under $60 and here under $30.  I just ordered this one that's now 50% off for Labor Day!

4. This Midi Dress is perfect for fall, with these booties & with or without a cardigan depending on the weather it would make the perfect fall transition dress. Not to mention the back of it is so pretty.

5 & 6. I know they aren't dresses but they're so gorgeous! I love lace detailing and I love rompers. You see why I had to throw it into my collage, because these are BOTH! These rompers are perfect for a fall event. Dinner with friends or drinks with the girls. I'd wear some block heels or booties like these with these rompers. SO GORGEOUS.

7. I think this dress is really an every season dress. Here's why. With a leopard clutch, black block heels  and a faux fur coat it would be perfect for winter. With nude pumps and a nude handbag and tassel earrings like these here it would be perfect for summer.

8. I ran into the same dilemma on this dress/romper as I did on number 5&6. It is just so stunning and can transition from summer to fall really easily. With some bright earrings and a bright embroidered clutch you could rock this little number in the summer and when fall arrives with booties and a fun felt hat like this one thats under $15 it would transition really well into fall.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and it helps you create some fun fall looks!
