RUIDOSO, NM | THE TWO STOPS WE ALWAYS MAKE
Weekend 1: Dallas Skydiving Trip
Weekend 2: Graham
Weekend 3: Oklahoma City for a Khalid Concert
Weekend 4: Family Trip to Ruidoso, NM
My family takes a trip to Ruidoso, NM every year and we've made it a tradition to go to two specific destinations.
Monjeau Lookout
The twenty-minute up mountain extravaganza is worth it. Here are some of the pictures we took this year.
Ruidoso Downs
The other stop we make is to the horse races.
Fun fact about me is I rode horses for 6 or 7 years when I was younger and for a little while I barrel raced. My first horse's name was Cowboy and the last one I had was Lonesome. Lonesome was basically a huge puppy, he'd get into our trash and throw it around everywhere and get into the icebox in the garage. haha
Anyways horse races always take me to fun memories.

Braylea's Bazzar x Emma Seminaro
Today is a big day here on Being Braylea blog. Braylea's Bazaar, my personal online shop just launched. This first shop is themed the launch shop, where there is a little bit of everything. The retailer I'm featuring this month is Amazon. Learn more about the whole concept behind Braylea's Bazaar on this post.
I did a poll on my Instagram stories, a month or two back asking "Do you shop on Amazon?" I was shocked that 92% of the people that answered the poll answered YES. So what better way to launch my shop then to launch it with products I know you'll love, from a retailer you already trust.
Now, each month I'm going to have 1-3 special guests featuring on Braylea's Bazaar. This month I chose one of my girlfriends Emma Seminaro. I chose Emma because she is truly one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She's genuine and I knew she'd fit the part. I also chose her because she has great style and ideas that are a little bit different than mine. Emmas picks are all from Anthropology and can all be viewed on Braylea's Bazaar. She chose so many great items and most are on sale which is a plus. Check out her picks now!

I'M LAUNCHING MY OWN SHOP "Braylea's Bazaar"
The chapter has come in my life where it's time to start grinding, hustling and channeling my inner entrepreneur.
I am officially launching my own store, Braylea's Bazaar. This online boutique is going to have a few different categories built into it and they will constantly evolve and change.
But here's the gist
1. What's in Season and On-Trend
2. My personal picks and favorites
3. A special guest featuring THEIR style, hobby or interest
The process
The process of shopping from my store will be as easy as shopping on any other retailer site. I will pick all of my favorite items from 1 to 2 retailers (Nordstrom, Amazon, etc.) I will feature everything that I have chosen for MY shop. This will ensure that you won't have to spend hours and hours scrolling through the relentless web pages on amazon. I will do the work for you and feature what's selling quickly. If white booties are in style then I want to share the top 4 that are selling out everywhere. To save you time, and so you always have a place to go that you know you'll find what you're looking for.
How do I shop?
How do I shop?
Each month I will upload a completely new shop page with new items. Every month will be different. So on the first of the month head to my blog beingbraylea.com and click the "Brayleas Bazaar" tab.
Once you're there, you're going to shop like normal. If you see something you like, click on it and add it to your shopping bag. Note: its going to take you to the retailers website at which its being sold. I am not directly selling to the consumer. All transactions will be made through the second party website at which I'm linking to. (Ex. Amazon, Nordstrom, Etsy, Lululemon) I will only link to 1-2 retailers to ensure the check-out process isn't a hassle for you.

Transparency is key
I want to be 100% transparent and honest with you so let me explain something. I am apart of a monetization platform called rewardStyle. Through this platform, I am able to LINK the items that I love, am selling in my shop or am wearing. Those links have special characters that report back to the retailer I'M (Braylea) the one that shared the item with YOU (the shopper). They then compensate me for sharing with you. Just like any boutique owner I have to make money or I can't keep my doors open. So when you chose to shop at Brayleas Bazaar just know you are helping be keep this page up, running, and providing you with the best deals that I possibly can.
Check out this months shop not by clicking here. I've prepared tons of affordable finds- dresses under $30, white booties for a transition into fall and I am also featuring my first Bazaar guest of the month Emma and her picks from Anthropologie.
I hope you enjoy. If you ever have any recommendations or are looking for anything specific I would LOVE to hear about it so I can feature it for you.
Here's the Youtube Video sharing about the shop

SURPRISE KHALID CONCERT
What a weekend- for the past year Connor and I have really started listening to Khalid's music. It's feel-good music, makes you want to ride in the car with your windows down, you know? So anyways when Keridan called me Thursday afternoon and said: "There's a Khalid concert tomorrow, is there any way y'all you could go with me to it?" I, of course, jumped to ticketmaster.com and bought us tickets. Then when Connor came over to my house after he got out of summer school I let him in on the plans. Check out our YouTube video to see his reaction!
We left Lubbock on Friday at 2:00 and arrived around 7:15. We scarfed down a sandwich and went to the Chesapeake arena for the concert.
Saturday morning Keridan took us to our very first Pure Barre class. After a night out... I'll let you fill in the blanks. If you're unfamiliar like I was, just know that it is a difficult workout, and she failed to mention she signed us up for the intermediate class haha.
Saturday evening we went to OSO for dinner and drinks and then made our way to downtown OKC to a few clubs. Dollhouse, and... let me ask Keridan what the other was called.
Sunday quickly arrived and we were on our way back to Lubbock just in time for Connors class Monday morning.
You can watch our YouTube vlog below!
Thank you for coming to my blog today to keep up with me.

WEEKEND IN DALLAS & CONNOR GOES SKYDIVING
A few weekends ago Connor and I went to Dallas- Fort Worth for July 4th. We ate our way through the city and like the title says, he went skydiving! Before you ask why I didn't go, here's the story.
On Connors 18th Birthday he wanted to go skydiving, we still lived at home, we were still high school and he was in sports galore so we couldn't make it work. Flash forward to June 20th he came up with the most epic plan.
Carter * Connors' brother* was turning 24 on July 6th and we all happened to be in the DFW area that weekend. SO he surprised Carter with a skydiving trip for his birthday. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. We pulled up to pick him up at 7:00am and Connor told him what they were doing on their way there. Talk about a surprise! He was thrilled, to say the least. We have a video coming SOON.
The moments leading up to then. We left Graham around 9:00am Thursday morning July 4th and made our way to Fort Worth. While snacking on pigs in the blanket and donuts from the best donut shop in Graham. Then we made our first stop at Lululemon. From there we went to Anthropologie, Zoes Kitchen, ate sushi at Lounge 31 (killer happy hour menu) in Highland Park Village, Dallas and then mosied over to Happiest Hour where we would have the best view to watch fireworks. Or so we thought... Come to find out we wouldn't see ONE firework from Happiest Hour rooftop...
Lounge 31- sit upstairs! The bottom restaurant is basically the same thing but much more stiff and fancy.
Happiest Hour on the rooftop

Anyways, we're not one to get too upset about small things so we laughed it off, made fun of ourself and landed at our Airbnb rental around 12:45pm.
The next morning
6:30am came early but the excitement made it all worth it. We packed our bags up, loaded up the car and drove to where Carter and Katie were staying in Fort Worth. When we arrived neither of them knew what the day held. So they were a little anxious. We made Carter step outside for a second while we got Katie on board with this idea. Then the boys were off. We stayed back for an hour and got ready and then followed behind them.
Leading up to the jump
The boys chose Skydive Spaceland Dallas for their very first jump and they both had the best experience. It is a little bit of a drive outside of DFW but when you're jumping out of an airplane, you'll drive the extra hour.
Before they left the house
After the jump
Connor is still on a high from jumping. He says it was one of the coolest experiences he's ever had!Lounge 31- sit upstairs! The bottom restaurant is basically the same thing but much more stiff and fancy.
